Abstract

Companies which have an Integrated Management System for Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) certified in international standards have a differential in the market. The trend towards integrating management systems is increasingly evident, as companies are experiencing commercial, ethical and regulatory pressures to control and reduce the risks of their activities in order to meet the needs of the stakeholders. In this context, this paper aims to present a method for assessment the QHSE Integrated Management System applied in a maritime support company, and which results in a compliance index that can be used as a diagnosis for certification integrated in the standards ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018. The research is classified as interpretative, exploratory and as a case study. The methodology includes documentary research, checklist, and data analysis. The result of the application of this model proved that compliance with the requirements of these standards is essential to obtain QHSE high performance, especially the leadership commitment and the participation of employees. This model can support the High Administration in decision making regarding the degree of prioritization of the proposed actions to comply with the requirements of these standards.
