Abstract

Abstract A control theory model of binocular accommodation has been constructed to illustrate the control strategies adopted by the accommodation system during unequal that is, anisometropic stimulation. The model includes a component in which the retinal information from each eye is integrated to produce the same effort of accommodation to each eye. The integration of retinal information is dependent on the level of differential stimulation and whether monocular or binocular information is present.
