Abstract

The paper aims to determine the variables that would have impact over risk-taking behaviour and entrepreneurship behaviour in emerging economies (Omani entrepreneurs). The authors chose two major constructs viz. internal variables (demographic and economic variables) and external variables (social and cultural variables) in order to test the impact of the aforesaid variables on the risk-taking and entrepreneurs. The paper attempts to build a model of the variables that impact the risk-taking and entrepreneurship behaviour. The study revealed that the demographic variable (internal variable) has a significant impact over risk-taking and entrepreneurship behaviour. The papers also identified that the economic and cultural variables have high impact and social and demographic variables have low impact over risk-taking and entrepreneurship behaviour.
