Abstract
A model of the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with representative orthogonal elements of highly porous thermal protection fibrous materials and reticulated materials is developed. This model, which is based on the Mie theory and its consequences, makes it possible to calculate such important optical characteristics as spectral absorption and scattering coefficients, spectral and spectral transport diffusion coefficients of radiation, phase scattering function, radiation thermal conductivity, and others.
