Abstract

Numerical modelling of the scrape-off layer is carried out by using the B2.5 code for HT-7U, which is a proposed long pulse superconducting tokamak, operating in the double-null divertor configuration. The geometry parameters are based on the two planned HT-7U plasma configurations. A two-point SOL model with the inclusion of the magnetic configuration is also used to estimate divertor heat load and compare the results for two different configurations. The work to predict the expected operation point at the divertor target is presented in this paper.
