Abstract
Modelling soil water movement under unsaturated conditions with the Modified Cubic B-Spline Differential Quadrature method
Highlights
This study focuses on modelling moisture movement in the unsaturated soil zone with the use of the Modified Cubic B-Spline Differential Quadrature method
The numerical solution of the Richards Equation, which is commonly used in the field of hydrogeology for describing soil moisture movement, was investigated
The differential quadrature method was employed to evaluate the spatial derivatives of the equation variables, and the 4th order Runge-Kutta Method was used to march the solution in time
Summary
Toprağa sızan suyun doymamış bölgedeki dikey hareketi Richards [2] tarafından şu şekilde modellenmiştir; Pamukkale Univ Muh Bilim Derg, 24(6), 952-959, 2018 E. Θ topraktaki hacimsel su içeriğini, t zamanı, z ilgili noktanın kotunu, ψ negatif değere sahip su basınç yükünü (emme basıncı) ve K hacimsel su içeriğine bağlı olarak değişen toprağın hidrolik iletkenlik katsayısını temsil etmektedir. Doymamış bölgede hacimsel su içeriği, toprak su basıncı ve hidrolik iletkenlik parametreleri arasında güçlü bir ilişki vardır. Farklı toprak tipleri için bu ilişkiyi tanımlamaya yönelik çeşitli modeller geliştirilmiştir [30]-[32]. Şekil 1’de temsili toprak tipleri için van Genuchten [32] modeli ile elde edilen mutlak su basınç yükü, hacimsel su içeriği ve hidrolik iletkenlik ilişkisi resmedilmiştir. Şekil 1: Farklı toprak tipleri için hacimsel su içeriği, basınç yükü ve hidrolik iletkenlik ilişkisi [32]. Başvuru kaynağı bulunamadı., özgül nem kapasitesi (C) olarak tanımlanan yeni bir parametre kullanılarak, şu şekilde yeniden düzenlenebilir;. Bu denklemde C, hacimsel su oranının su basınç yüküne göre diferansiyel değişimine eşittir;
