Abstract

SummaryGeneral problems involved in scaling up laboratory size model cells to prototype or commercial size units are discussed and the specific effect of current distribution variation is considered. The probabilistic method is used as a tool to obtain example simulations which directly indicate the effect that altering the scale of a cell has on the cathodic secondary current distribution.
