Abstract

The paper presents theoretical foundations for the modelling of phenomena related to visualisation performed by means of computer graphics software and for the modelling of radiative heat transfer. Since the equations describing both of these processes are very similar, there is a possibility of applying certain computer graphics programmes to resolve problems related to radiative heat transfer. The paper explores all necessary supplements making it possible to perform such calculations. For a system characterised by simple geometry, results of simulation of radiative heat transfer are presented and compared with results of analytical calculations.
