Abstract
Damp rising, salt transport and salt crystallization have a great influence on the degradation process of historic masonry. In this framework, the present paper aims at highlighting the role of temperature in modelling and simulation of the whole phenomenon, with emphasis on the precipitated salt. Thermal effects on sorption/desorption curves and on system coefficients are discussed. Then, numerical results of isothermal and non-isothermal simulations are presented and compared.
