Abstract

The facilitated transport of Cr(III) in the SLM system with D2EHPA, was investigated with respect to the composition of feed phase (type of Cr(III) salt, initial Cr(III) concentration, initial ionic strength) and organic phase (carrier concentration and type of diluent) and also volume phase ratio. The effect of diluents on the initial flux and rate constant was expressed by means of their solvatochromic parameters and Leggett modification of Kamlet and Taft model of solute–solvent interactions.
