Abstract
Bromate formation during ozonization of bromide — containing water was studied under different process parameters. The tests were performed in a fine bubble column operated in a co- and counter current flow mode. The results of the study are summarised in a form of an empirical formula allowing the prediction of bromate formation on the basis of the main operational parameters (including hydrodynamic conditions) of the conventional ozonization process.
