Abstract
Abstract The effects of the energy spectrum of precipitating electrons on the structure of the absorption layer are studied by a theoretical ionisation-recombination model in the lower ionosphere. As a result the dependence between the flux-energy spectrum of precipitating electrons for characteristic energies of > 10 and > 30 keV and the peak height of the absorption layer is presented for every month and for different solar zenith angles.
