Abstract

The authors set forth the design of a suspended belt conveyor with a distributed drive and a vertical closed loop path. The numerical scheme for analyzing the dynamics of this conveyor was made. This scheme took into account the drives mechanical characteristics, the design elements inertial properties and the belt longitudinal strain. The article described the approaches and details of the path modeling, loads on the drive and non-drive suspension elements as well as the prospective rolling modes of the drive suspensions in the drive rollers. For the basic version of the conveyor design the dynamics modelling results were provided and assessed.
