Abstract

We investigated the high-power spin-torque oscillator in a half-metallic Heusler alloy Co2MnSi spin-valve nanopillars with perpendicular magnetization using micromagnetic simulations. A stable high output power spin transfer precession was obtained in the condition of zero external magnetic field, and the narrow current of oscillation due to the high spin polarization of Heusler alloy is significantly widened by introducing the surface anisotropy. Furthermore, we discussed the current dependence of oscillation frequency and explained the blue frequency shift using the trajectories and spatial magnetic domains.
