Abstract

The paper describes the use of modelling techniques in the design of practical thyristor-machine systems. Digital modelling techniques are also discussed in relation to computer simulation of such schemes. The approach is treated with reference to a simple single-phase/3-phase cycloconvertor, but the paper illustrates that the methods are of wide application.
