Abstract

Distributed energy system (DES) can effectively realize energy comprehensive utilization and energy cascade utilization. In this paper, a multi-source distributed energy system (MSDES) is proposed which consists of internal combustion engines, absorption heat pumps, electric chillers and Solar PV modules. Because the TRNSYS built-in modules library does not contain gas-hot water LiBr absorption heat pump module, the mathematical model of LiBr absorption heat pump named type 3 is established based on the theory knowledge of absorption heat pump. Then, the system model of MSDES is built based on TRNSYS software. The annual hourly power output of solar PV system, the annual hourly power output of MSDES and the annual cooling/heating outputs of gas-hot water LiBr absorption heat pump are simulated following the meteorological conditions and dynamic thermal load of community buildings. The simulation results show that the MSDES not only improves primary energy efficiency, but also has high environmental benefits and economic benefits.
