Abstract
In this paper a variation in optimal replacement technique (OPT) for multiprocessor environment will be introduced, and practical way of implementing the new memory replacement technique (K-OPT) will be discussed. Results of a simulation are presented; limitations of using number of processors, groupsize, main memory size are also presented for minimum system overhead
