Abstract

This paper studies the modelling and practical stability analysis of the wind turbine linked with a battery energy storage system (WT/BESS). An offset strategy is proposed for BESS to keep the state of charging (SOC) at the middle value. And a model of switched system with multiple equilibriums is established to describe the dynamics of the WT/BESS under the SOC offset strategy. The equilibriums of the model switches according to a time-dependent switching signal. Based on this, the sufficient condition for the practical stability of the switched system with multiple equilibriums is given, and the feasibility of the proposed results is certificated by a case.
