Abstract

Multiaxial servohydraulic test benches allow to test complete cars in the laboratory. These test benches simulate operational loads which were measured during actual test runs. This paper deals with a truck test bench for the simulation of test signals in two spatial coordinates. The mathematical model of the test bench for a free car body with rigid axles is presented. The mathematical model shows the test bench to be a nonlinear multivariable system of high order. The nonlinearities depend on the wheel suspension and the test bench design. For this test bench a nonlinear decoupling has been designed. The result of the design has been verified with the aid of a computer simulation.
