Abstract

The aim of this work is to model and control a nonlinear biological process. The paper illustrates the use of fuzzy logic type Takagi-Sugeno (TS) to elaborate a fuzzy model and build fuzzy controllers. Two control approaches are considered. The first is the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) control with respect constraints on the manipulated inputs. The second is the optimal linear quadratic integral control (LQI). The efficiency of both the modeling and the control are demonstrated via simulations.
