Abstract

In this paper, the production processes with quality-checking are considered as a class of nondeterministic Discrete Event Dynamic Systems (DEDS) where point probability distributions are assumed, and studied in a generalized temporal logic framework. Based on the temporal model(TM), the reachability and qualitative properties of the TM are analyzed, and the synthesis problem of TMs is also discussed. The plant, controller, and the desired closed system behavior are specified in temporal logic formulas, and the problem is verified that the specifications of the desired closed loop system behavior can be deduced from the descriptions of the plant and the controller.
