Abstract

The running diffusion coefficients are evaluated using Langevin equations in order to describe the transport of guiding centers of charged particles perpendicularly to the main magnetic field in the case of a two-temperature plasma. The stochastic transition between the two temperature states is described by a randomly interrupted noise. The radial variation of the running diffusion coefficients is discussed for two cases of the radial profile of the two temperatures for different collisional regimes. The values of the diffusion coefficient depend not only on the features of the two temperature profiles but also on the parameters of the random transition.
