Abstract

Summary A structural and geological model was constructed and the modeling of the processes of oil and gas generation and accumulation of hydrocarbons in the siliceous sediments of the North Sakhalin sedimentation basin was carried out. It is established that the most promising zone for the development of reservoir properties of siliceous deposits is the Opal-CT – α-Quartz transition zone. This zone is characterized by the development of maximum fracturing, which determines the capacitance and filtration properties of the rock.
