Abstract

The internal grinding in the extreme sections of the hole is characterized by non-linear transient process associated with the input and output of the circle on the overtravel value in the reversal areas. Moreover, in the initial section not only the reversal but also the switching of the plunge radial infeed occurs. Thus, the metal removal process in three sections of the hole occurs with significantly different power loads during different periods of time. Such instability of the metal removal processes in the different hole sections leads to the following: in this sections a different value of the allowance is removed, the angle of rotation and elastic deformation of the circle cutting edge change significantly, diametric and axial processing errors occur. Therefore it is necessary to consider the instability of processing along the entire length of the hole during the modeling of metal removal in the intragrinding process. This article describes the approaches to modeling the influence of the circle overtravel value exerting a significant influence on the stability of the process, and therefore the processing accuracy.
