Abstract
Poverty is a current condition faced by the world and Indonesia. According to the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), in 2020, poor people in Java Island will reach more than 30%. As one province in Java Island, Central Java gets the number of poverties 11.84%. The data given shows that Indonesia still suffers from poverty. In this study, researchers will analyze the result using the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) and predict the number of poverties in Central Java. The prediction model was used to predict 35 districts or cities in Central Java with data provided in 2020. As a result, Brebes district became the district as poorest in Central Java; meanwhile, Magelang city with the lowest number of poor people in Central Java. The number of poverties in Central Java is affected by unemployment. Crime actions and number of social welfares.
