Abstract

This paper examines the influence prevalent socio‐cultural models have on the organizational culture of Catholic social service agencies. Domesticating, corporate, and liberationist cultural models are analyzed and critiqued. The effects these models have on the principal areas of organizational administration and operation are described. Recommendations are made to facilitate the development of organizational cultures that are genuinely expressive of gospel values and that authentically realize the Church's mission of charity and justice.
