Abstract

A modified lattice model, which combines the axial strain and misorientation of grain boundaries (GBs) in the REBCO film has been developed to model the reversible effect of the axial strain on the critical current. The calculated results is showed to be well agree with the experimental data. The model can interpret the mechanism of the reversible effect of the axial strain on the critical current. Moreover, the irreversible strain of the polycrystalline REBCO film can be theoretical determined by comparing the calculating critical current-strain curve of the model with the experimental data.
