Abstract

We study the processes of heterodiffusion of admixtures in the case of their cascade decay in a body with two ways of migration accompanied by the mass exchange between states. On the basis of iteratively constructed solutions of the system of coupled initial-boundary-value problems of cascade-type heterodiffusion, we perform the numerical analysis of the functions of concentrations of admixture particles migrating in two ways in a layer in the first three stages of decay. We also evaluate the total diffusion flows of admixture substances in the first step. The general regularities of these processes are determined. It is shown that, for small times, the accumulation of admixtures in the second stage of decay occurs near the surface of the body, where the mass source acts in the zero-order stage. In the course of time (in the second stage of the cascade processes), the admixture substances mainly accumulate in the bulk of the body.
