Abstract

AbstractPervaporation as a membrane process is applied for dehydration of organic mixtures. The performance of a composite ceramic membrane was assessed in the pervaporation process for dehydration of dimethyl aminoethyl azide (DMAZ) solution under different operational conditions. The system behavior was modeled, and the model solved numerically with the finite element method via COMSOL software. Good verification in experimental and modeling results was observed with calculated errors of less than 2 %.
