Abstract

The aim of the paper is to present a statistical model of motion and dispersion of light-weight particles and bubbles in turbulent flows. The model is based on a kinetic equation for the probability density function of particle velocities. The results of modeling the parameters of particles and bubbles in a plane-channel flow are compared with known data of direct numerical simulation.
