Abstract

The article discusses the motor spindle thermal state and promising electromechanical drive main spindle machining centers. MSH, considered in the article, is a spindle head with a built-in adjustable electric motor the rotor of which is mounted on the spindle. The design of a prototype is given in the article along with the MSH specifications. It also provides information on the MSH heat sources. The dependencies of the changes in the electrical, magnetic, and mechanical losses, depending on the frequency of rotation of the spindle, are presented. The influence of heat sources on the formation of the temperature field and thermal deformation of the spindle, depending on the frequency of rotation of the spindle, is described. The results of mathematical modeling of the thermal state of MSH in relation to the flow of air blown are presented. The paper presents the values of linear thermal strains MSH for axial ventilation system
