Abstract

We obtain the analytic solution of a nonstationary thermal problem of friction for two half spaces with generalized Barber boundary conditions and a constant specific power of friction. By using this solution and the Duhamel formula, we construct the solution of the thermal problem of friction in the process of braking with constant deceleration. For the cast-iron–cermet friction couple, we study the influence of the thermal conductivity coefficients of contact and the distribution of heat flows on the temperature field of the tribosystem.
