Abstract

Solidification of PCM in appearance of wavy wall and with inclusion of nanoparticles has been demonstrated. Types of PCM and nanoparticles are water and CuO. To estimate the properties of final product, the features were calculated regarding to considering uniform concentration in all over the domain. The right selection of numerical approach is crucial in finding accurate outputs and in present article FEM was used. The employing adaptive grid leads to more accurate outputs. Influence of size of particles have been described in outputs and due to possibility of sedimentation, it is not true to think that if size increases the conductivity should be augments. As size of particles changes from dp = 30 to 40 nm, the time of reaching full solid phase decreases around 20.63 % while augment of dp from 40 to 50 nm causes time to augment around 50.39 %. As fraction of nano-powders elevates, the time declines 41.26 % when dp = 40 nm.
