Abstract

Waste of electricity from the operation of air conditioning equipment, can be caused because users often set the temperature setting at the lowest setting, which is in the 16°C setting. To overcome the energy waste associated with regulating the air conditioning temperature, the government in this case the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia issued a regulation through Ministerial Regulation No. 13 of 2012 concerning electricity saving for air conditioning equipment, where the temperature settings is set at 24°C up to 27°C.This study aims to make a system model in the form of an energy saving mode that can limit the settings of the air conditioning temperature, which will only operate at a settings of 24°C up to 27°C, in order to avoid waste of electrical energy. From the results of the tests carried out, the results obtained that the system model for the energy saving mode produced, it can limit the air conditioning temperature setting which will only operate in the range of 24°C to 27°C.
