Abstract

This paper presents a total/partial field scheme to model current sources near a wall of reverberation chambers (RCs). Such current sources cannot be modeled by the regularization technique or the total/scattered field scheme. Therefore, a total/partial field scheme is proposed to facilitate modeling of the current sources. In the proposed total/partial field scheme, the total field is decomposed into two parts. The first part is the field generated by the original current source and its surrounding images. The second part is the field due to the remaining images of the current source. Antisymmetric/symmetric extension is applicable to both parts. The proposed total/partial field scheme is compatible with the discrete singular convolution method. It facilitates the modeling of current sources near a wall of RCs, and thus lays a basis for modeling stirrers close to a wall of RCs.
