Abstract

The current paper introduces the model for analysis and calculation of power electronics losses. The developed model was verified by measurements on the automotive claw-pole alternator, done in the laboratory on the test bench [1]. The results based on simulations and based on measurements were compared in order to estimate the accuracy of the developed model by calculating the mean absolute percentage error between measured and simulated values. The importance of analyzing the power electronic losses was confirmed by the table with the power consumption of different automotive power network loads.
