Abstract

Cloud computing is the emerging computing platform by providing the computing utilities as service such as platform, software and storage. Cloud computing technology in cyber physical systems becomes a natural choice. Cloud based cyber physical systems are specific. Their design needs appropriate concepts and tools which are not available under systemic or object oriented methods. We have to extend current modeling languages to satisfy the requirements of such design. In this paper, in order to express the requirements of cloud based cyber physical systems, we extend traditional unified modeling language (UML) for modeling cloud based cyber physical systems. We propose a Cloud-based Hybrid UML Metamodel. The primary extension construct for cloud is stereo type. The proposed approach can specify and model the requirements of cloud base cyber physical systems, and we illustrate the proposed approach using an example of railway control System, which is a typical cloud based cyber physical system and is defined as part of profile and extends some metaclass of cloud.
