Abstract

In order to model perpetual pavement response, the traffic loads, pavement temperature and mechanics responses collected from the Binzhou perpetual pavement test road were used to develop axle load spectrums, temperature probability functions and response regression models with loads and temperature variables. Based on those works, computer programs of parameters sample and pavement response probability distribution were designed. The random sample methods of probability distribution function were developed and the numerical simulation of parameters inputs and mechanics responses under a whole year traffic volume and temperature cycle was realized. The results showed that the simulated mechanics response was conformity with actual response and all followed approximate normal distribution. Different pavement structures response was also compared. The research proves that Monte Carlo method can help to discover pavement mechanics response under load and temperature coupling influence.
