Abstract

A variety of techniques are available for measuring oxygen or oxygen-related signals in biological media (Swartz et al., 1998). With these techniques, a signal is measured that is somehow related to oxygen, and the O2 is derived from this measured signal. The signal can be quite close to O2, e.g., mass spectrometry of oxygen, or only indirectly related.
