Abstract
A conceptual model for the analysis of personal and collective health services systems is proposed. By placing existing formal models in the framework of this conceptual model, we emphasized their qualities and shortcomings. We discussed the normative and descriptive approach of formal modeling. Finally we emphasized the close conceptual parallel that exists between personal and collective health services systems.
