Abstract

Modeling and simulation technology is an important tool for solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation system design, optimization, preliminary research, and efficiency estimation. How to improve the efficiency and reliability of solar PV systems has become the main direction of the future development of PV technology. However, the actual operation of a PV system is greatly affected by environmental factors; therefore, it is necessary to carry out accurate design and simulation calculations of the PV system. On the one hand, it can predict the environmental adaptability of solar PV systems in advance; on the other hand, it can improve the overall optimization design of the model based on a simulation calculations, which will greatly save time and economic cost. The current research on PV system modeling and simulation is endless, which requires a summary. This chapter reviews the research on PV systems in recent years and discusses the existing performance and reliability evaluation models of solar PV cells, modules, and arrays, PV system Power generation prediction simulation, and PV systems in the shadow or mismatch of mathematical modeling.
