Abstract
In recent years, with the development of economy and construction, clean energy has become the main development direction in the future. The wind energy has clean, renewable and pollution-free advantages, which make it more widely applied than other renewable energy. How to effectively improve the utilization rate of wind energy has become a major problem. This paper takes the permanent magnet direct-drive wind power generation system as the research object, and researches on the maximum power point tracking and pitch control of machine side. By using variable step hill-climbing searching method to track the maximum power point and pitch control with power compensation, the simulation model is established by using Matlab/Simulink and the simulation results and analysis are given. The wind power generation units can fulfill maximum wind energy capture function and variable pitch control.
