Abstract

Hydraulic control unit (HCU) is the most important component of electronic stability system (ESP). This paper establishes the model of hydraulic control unit (HCU) based on the software AMEsim, then analyzes key parameters of this AMEsim model. By simulating it, the ESP-HCU AMESim model well describes the hydraulic dynamic property of ESP system. By simulating the hydraulic property of HCU model between front and rear braking wheel cylinders, this paper compares and analyzes the different pressure and flow rate etc of ESP HCU (inlet/outlet valve, accumulator, pump), master cylinder and corresponding wheel cylinders. The conclusions provide the foundations for both in-depth study of ESP HCU and the R&D for ESP system.
