Abstract

The basic concepts of a hydrodynamic model of a wild gas-aerosol outburst in a calm atmosphere are presented and the computation of a jet blowout in the presence of combustion is considered. The model is based on the theory of high-temperature turbulent jets. The effective rising height into a homogeneous atmosphere under calm weather conditions is estimated as a function of Richardson's number for different initial injection velocities depending of the accident scenario. The rising height of an explosion-type burst is also analyzed.
