Abstract

This paper concentrates on the modeling and control of three-phase stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) generation system. The system is mainly composed of a solar array, dc/dc boost converter, three-phase inverter, system controller, and an output load. Sliding mode controllers are used for boost converter and three-phase inverter to achieve the maximum power output, regulated DC voltage, and the desired output voltage. All the analysis, controller design, and simulation results will be described in this paper in detail. Moreover, the simulation results will show that the PV generation system can be properly operated to achieve a fast dynamic response and robustness to parameters variation. In addition, the achievement of this study can provide a valuable reference for the development of distributed generation source in the microgrid system in the future.
