Abstract

Power amplifier is used at the front end of any communication system. But this device suffers from thermal effects. Thermal effects cause in-band and out-band distortion. Thus compensation of thermal effects is of major concern. In this paper the variation of in-band and out-band with thermal effects has been studied in terms of lower channel and upper channel adjacent channel power ratio. The spectral re-growth has also been plotted and effect of thermal effects on signal peak to average power ratio has also been simulated. Also a technique has been proposed to compensate the thermal effects.
