Abstract

Through directly driving by a novel moving-magnet transverse-flux linear oscillatory motor (LOM), an integrated linear oscillatory compressor is presented in this paper. The compressor has the characteristics of simple manufacture process, good dynamic performance, small size and high efficiency. The basic structure of the integrated linear oscillatory compressor proposed is presented in Fig.1. The compressor consists of three parts: gas compression system, linear motor system and spring resonance system. LOM is the core component of the compressor. There are two outer stator core arranged along the axial direction with reverse series centralized windings. It also have one inner stator core and one mover with six permanent magnets mounted on it. Thrust in axial direction is produced by the interaction between the magnetic field from permanent magnets and the armature reaction to drive the mover linear reciprocating motion. The hollow part in the inner stator is set as a compression cylinder.
