Abstract

The paper describes application examples for three-dimensional (3D) computer visualization and modeling in the field of laser material processing. In particular, the laser operation principles, the mechanical and optical construction of laser systems, beam delivery principles and systems of the equipment, laser material processing models and the resulting structures can be spectacularly and convincingly presented in quasi three dimension using Internet based tools and Flash technology. The 3D visualization has proved to be very effective method for teaching physics and technology in university courses, as well as, for verifying the principles of processes during their research and development.
