Abstract

Mobile-assisted Seamless Learning (MSL) is effective in developing students' self-regulated learning and collaborative learning skills, which are the fundamental skills for learners in the 21st century. However, what is lacking is specific guidelines for implementation of MSL in higher education. Furthermore, MSL presents a challenging learning and teaching situation based on its current framework. This paper proposes a research method to model a future seamless learning concept and framework in higher education. This future seamless learning concept and framework will be explored from the perspectives of educators and students. It is proposed that the seamless learning model could help to implement a more holistic seamless learning experience for the next generation learning and teaching in higher education.
