Abstract
Model predictive current control (MPCC) has been proposed as a powerful control method for doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). It can achieve good steady state performance and quick response with simple structure. However, the performance of MPCC relies heavily on the accuracy of DFIG parameter. To improve the robustness of MPC against parameter variations, this paper proposes a model-free predictive current control (MFPCC) for DFIG, which only requires the information of stator currents and stator voltages. The proposed MFPCC is compared to conventional MPCC and the experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method.
